Paxos and Antipaxos

South of the island of Corfu there are two paradise islands, Paxos and Antipaxos. Thanks to beautiful landscapes, warm turquoise blue sea, many divine bays, beaches and caves that adorn them, Paxos and Antipaxos certainly include on list of 20 most beautiful islands in the world. Due to its attractiveness and numerous hidden bays are favorite among sailors.

Paxos is bigger island, it is assumed that is was inhabited in prehistoric times. The fertile fields in the interior of the island are covered with old olive trees, while coastline of Paxos is surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches and bays. The island has about 2,300 residents. The largest village and port of the island Paxos is Gaios, located on the east coast of the island. The most attractive beache on Paxos is Lakka, located on the north side of the island, adorned with beautiful white gravel and sky blue sea.

Antipaxos is a small island with only a few permanent residents, located about 3 km south of Paxos. The island is full off valleys of vineyards. What makes Antipaxos particularly known are its breathtaking heavenly beaches and lagoons like Vrika and Voutomi that are in season full of tourists, boaters and divers.
