Southeast of the city is located Athens airport which connects Athens with almost entire world. Southwest of Athens lies one of the major Greek marinas, marina Alimos. The marina has nearly 1,000 berths, and offers a variety of additional facilities and is the main starting point for sailing to the Argo - Saronic Gulf and the Cyclades archipelago.
