Island Prvić

Prvić is a small island of the Šibenik archipelago, situated near the Vodice. Prvić is a natural extension of the island Zlarin, which is confirmed by many underwater shallows, Lupac islet and Raženik reef. It is interesting that the island is Prvić isn’t built of limestone as the other islands, but of chalk dolomites.

The population of the island in the past was mainly engaged in fishing, agriculture and maritime affairs, and today mostly lives from tourism. The Prvić has two settlements, Prvić Luka and Prvić Šepurine. Both settlements are protected by the Ministry of Culture as a cultural heritage. From sights on the island stands out the church of St. Helen from 17.st and Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary from the 19th century in Šepurine, and the church of St. Mary of Grace with the monastery in Luka. Accommodation on Prvić is mainly offered in apartments and private homes, and in Luka there is the only hotel on the island, hotel Maestral.

Prvić is daily boat connected with the mainland, on line Vodice - Prvić Sepurine - Prvić Luka - Zlarin - Šibenik. Prvić has many beautiful beaches and bays which you can visit if you rent a boat in one of the nearby marinas: ACI marina Jezera, marina Tribunj, ACI marina Vodice, marina Mandalina Šibenik, marina Kremik Primošten.
