If you are looking for escape from the hectic pace of life, the city traffic and noise and people in your area, treat yourself with vacation on the beautiful island paradise in the middle of the Adriatic Sea, the island of Lastovo. Island Lastovo is located 14 km south of the island of Korčula. Lastovo is the largest island of the Lastovo archipelago, and together with two island groups Lastovnjaci and Vrhovnjaci is part of the Nature Park Lastovo Islands.

Lastovo is an island of rich history. Island is permanently inhabited for thousands of years, and its inhabitants were Illyrians, ancient Greeks and Romans. On the island were found remains from the Roman era and the Middle Ages. Island Lastovo has five settlements with a population of 800 inhabitants. The largest settlements are Lastovo and Ubli, and from smaller settlements stands out Pasadur, Zaklopatica and Skrivena Luka. The population of the island of Lastovo is mainly engaged in wine and olive growing, fishing and tourism. On the island are held numerous events and festivals that are extremely interesting for tourists, particularly Lastovski poklad.

Lastovo is an old medieval place amphitheatrical shape, located in the interior of the island, on the north side. Lastovo is characterized by stone steps around the old town and picturesque stone houses with specific chimneys, so-called. fumari. Island Lastovo has exceptional indented coastline decorated with magnificent bays and beaches. The best known and most attractive bays on the island are Zaklopatica and Skrivena luka. Zaklopatica is a favorite destination for boaters because of its position, restaurants with berths and beautiful nature and clear sea. Skrivena luka is located on the southern part of the island of Lastovo. It is one of the most attractive and safest bays on the island. At the entrance to the bay lies the Cape of Struga with a beautiful lighthouse from the 19th century. The bay has few restaurants and two beautiful beaches, Portorosso and Kujenčeva ropa.
